Together with the works council and employees, the management of the CKD site in Soltau has planted 100 fruit trees on the company grounds - the environment and colleagues are to benefit from the project in the future: the grounds will be upgraded and the fruit will be available to all colleagues free of charge.
The trees are irrigated with stored rainwater. With this measure we would like to contribute to the reduction of the Co² budget. In spring, insects can fly to the trees when they are in full bloom. As soon as they bear fruit (apple, pear, cherry & plum), these may be picked by the employees.
To further promote environmental protection, we have given local beekeepers the opportunity to set up their bee colonies with us.
